Doctor who began on nov.23,1963,it a junkyard on totters lane.'the doctor",as is the only name hes known by is a time lord,who travels thru time & space in a machine known as a tardis.which thru a fault,became permanently diguised as a british police call box.the doctor,has the ability to regenerate,meaning if he were in a situation that would leave him dead,his cellls reform.he retains his same morals,& memories,but becomes a different person,physically & mentally!the idea came when the original actor,william hartnell,became too ill to hold the role.there have been 11 doctors to play the role to date.william hartnell,patrick troughton,jon pertwee,tom baker,perter davison,colin baker,sylvester mccoy,paul mcganne,chistopher eccleston,david tennant,& matt smith.
