My father was a country singer, songwriter and guitar player. You can hear his music and read more about him at: http://www.rybird.com/volliebrown.html . He had a 1946 Gibson acoustic he bought new, that I have since acquired. He was a patient man, and showed me all the basic open chords and how to play a few simple country songs

Music didn’t just give me energy, it controlled me. Depending on the style of music being played, I may have become subdued and relaxed as opposed to dancing. I would really be attracted towards mood music that affected my mood, and dreamy music, that encouraged daydreaming.
