Howdy Angelica. How are you doing?

I am still working the Temp job in Lexington. Their IT department is being outsourced. We will hear of the company that is taking over in September.

I was exhausted last night. I just came home and went to bed.

  3. I met a very attractive woman at the Kroger’s last Sunday.

I know. What a Cliche’, right.

Anyway I got her name, but did not courage up to ask for her phone number.

So… Friday Night I creeped her on Facebook. She is 51 and just had a birthday and does not list any relationships.

    How should I proceed?

Do what other singles do. Ask her to dinner and maybe a dance at the legion next Saturday night. Bowling maybe. Keep it light and friendly. Companionship, compatibility trial then pop-corn and netflix in cozy socks…

I was leading up to asking her for coffee at the Huddle House.

Yep, Saturday at the Legion sounds like a good idea.

  4. Guys, I may have already Ted’ed this up. I sent her a message on Facebook….

Oh I forgot to mention that I sent her a Friend request on Friday and she reponded on Friday.

I just sent the Message and she has not responded to it yet.

  6. Ask her if she’d like to go out with you for a drink at Krogers. It’s familiar territory.

    Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I have been debating about asking her for coffee. Kroger’s is a grocery store. I probably should have explained. I met her in the cereal aisle.

OMG,, that is excellent. “Cool, I said and turned to wink at the check-out girl
And paid for my three day’s supply of groceries
Walking out to my pick up truck, throwing aside
The fishing gear, hunting rifles and wrappers from old Hooters’ leftovers ”

Except it was the Cereal aisle and I can’t afford to go to Hooters.

Hunting Rifles in the truck bed? You know they should be loaded and securely mounted in the back window.
    :)
    Much Love.

Oh, and I am no where near that cool.
She was impressed with my politeness. :)

Voo, I friended her on facebook and she accepted on Friday. I liked a few of her comments. I was debating asking her for coffee on Saturday, but I chickened out and set her a what should have been a General How are you doing message on facebook that I talked about Amy and Dylan going off to college.
Her reply was, “My youngest is a senior in High School.” nothing more.

So I sent a followup saying I have 2 kids and asked how many children she has. She still hasn’t responded.

I probably should have asked her for coffee.

I used to go to Dairy Queen when I was younger, in my twenties. The owner’s son was there quite often and served me icecream.

Fast forward, twenty years later he admitted that he had a crush on me back then but was too afraid to ask me out. He felt so intimidated and was terrified of rejection.

Here’s the thing -- if he’d asked me, I would have said yes.

The moral of this story is, don’t let fear of rejection stop you from going after what you want. Take a big breath, pull up your pants and step out into the dating abyss.

If you really like that girl, go and get her.

I will as soon as I find out her marital status. :)

She responded back to my Facebook message. I now know she has 5 children and 7 grandchildren. What I need to know is if she has a husband.

I called a friend that I thought might know her but she didn’t have time to talk, as she was driving home from work.
