who knew?

certainly not me…MSR (w/o the “M”) did two solid hours and then some…and the money was quite good–as far as I’m concerned…there was a group in the corner, they seemed to be ignoring or just tolerating us…I was wrong, they got into it, if slowly…and I pretty much did what I said I was gonna do–let Rick be in Charge…but now I know he and I can hold the fort down if we have to…even a “little” gig like that takes a lot outta me, should be in bed by Midnight…

ADDENDUM–and I was, but I’ve been up since about 3AM…typical…there’s a gig tonight, but I’m not yet excited about it…I’m pretty sure it will be crowded onstage again, and I hate that…does a percussionist make THAT much of a difference ? And I DON’T mean the money necessarily; I just don’t like playing in a phone booth…having said that it’s NOT about the money, to a considerable degree, I AM doing this gig for the money…(sigh) Such is Life…

FURTHERMORE–I’m not some egomaniacal prima donna…*I* have never said “I won’t even leave the house for less than $100…” but some Musicians I know say that all the time…I DO think that to some degree I should be able to establish some ground rules regarding you using my services…I don’t want girls, drugs, or booze…I want a fair amount of money and a humane amount of space…(sigh) we’ll see what happens tonight, I suspect I’ll have a report either tonight or tomorrow…
