went to see a friend’s band and have Dinner at the Diner with the “roomie”…after about three songs the rains came…I’d already left to see some other new friends’ duo…by the time I got back to the Diner it had just about stopped raining…you couldn’t tell that a band had even been there…while I was at the Café, sitting alone at my table, I softly to myself (or so I thought) sang some harmony with Caroline and Greg…she apparently has bionic ears…another friend of theirs (and mine) showed up and she and I helped (harmonically) on BIG YELLOW TAXI…we sang out loud for that one…and with that I left…Caroline had asked me if I’d brought my guitar…It hadn’t occurred to me to do that…a bigger needier Ego woulda brought a guitar assuming that they would get a chance to use it…maybe I’m not that full of myself…yet that was the second time (at the same place) that a friend performing there asked me that question…golly all ya gotta do is ask ahead of time…but it DOES feel good to be asked–SOME people must think I can play…

gettin’ nervous/excited about the gig tomorrow…SLR gets nervous/excited too, which doesn’t calm ME down…and I don’t calm HER down either–boy, what a pair…well, even IF we don’t do good (we ARE practicing later today) and even IF we don’t get paid, at least it’s a Sunday when I don’t have to go to work…the practice space is as ready as it’s gonna be…but I’m just about broke now, so I would like to come home with a few bucks…

ADDENDUM–there was/is a lot going on in my Life this weekend…so we (the “roomie” and I ) took one thing off the schedule and (in her case) added one…as of now, she IS going with me to Karmafest…I’m waiting for my partner (or am I HER partner?) to get here so we can rehearse–*I* am not sure we need to, but she will feel better if we do…either way there would likely be “boo-boos”–that’s human nature…

I thought we’d be done by Dinnertime…that’s about when we’ll be getting started (sigh) but I couldn’t get Sherri Lynn to cancel the rehearsal, she can be quite stubborn…like I said, whether we practice or not, there will be mistakes…from either one of us…I’m not proud of that, but it indicates that we ARE Human…No afternoon nap, that means I’ll sleep good tonight, right?
