  1. Welcome everyone to the CPC Simple Sunday Picture Challenge! Each Saturday night and all day Sunday we feature a piece of art or photography by a promising artist. This week we offer a most interesting and well-executed image! This artist is prolific and has a particular style often reminiscent of the famous Spanish artist Salvador Dali. I hope it stimulates your muse to Be Creative and Have Fun!

Unfortunately I have to rise very early tomorrow for a trade show, but I will be back mid to late afternoon to comment on your posts, and post myself.

  2. The curse of the writer sometimes is that an idea cannot be allowed to rest! Here’s what agitated for release on this, the first image of gyurka’s genius which I saw.

    SETBACK

    When the starship Cyclopsise
    entered earthly paradise,
    evolution inside out
    reverted man before first shout.

    Thus upon smooth ancient ground
hardly then was heard a sound.
    Lonely prehistoric ape
head in hand with mind agape.

    Geriolithic shell bespoke
    endless time beneath the cloak
    still remained before the day
    reemergence paved the way,.

    Apple before bite did lie
far from Adam and Eve’s ply
Nothing there for them to teach
    with futuristic techno reach!

    Lesson learned in teachers’ quest:
    no matter if intention’s best,
none but God has foresight’s sense
    for unintended cnsequence.

    WHERES THE RAIN

    Eyes on you from above
    No one knows there
    Yet they be
    Poor little monkey
    Shame on me
One piece of fruit before me
    Worm
    Curl in a circle
No shade for my burnin head
    Water to far
I am weak dont wanna look
    Weep I do
    Layers of mountains
Do I see way over there
    Yet I can not
    Bare to walk that way
    Sand to hot
    Let I crawl whew weee
    Aint it hot
    Now I wonder can hell
    Be any hotter

This has always been a favorite challenge for me Barbatra, we definitely want to keep it going! I have five more pieces of gyurka’s art ready to use and in between we have others. Unfortunately the old SS where artists resident on the social site would come by to comment themselves or even host is mostly past, (although prior to this one I did write gyurka and explain that he would be welcome to come by). But the concept of musing on an image lives on! :-D

    Life Warnings

    Looking down blue eye
The beginning to the end all flies
    As fast as time dies
Wondering what happened why all fried
Such beauty once was now, dry
It started with an apple forbidden to eat he tries
Sadly visualized thought man was wise
But, temptation he became weak realized
As woman and man feelings began with guilt down sized
All apes, all living as one feel when wrong paralyzed
From the past to the present journey traveled trying to survive
Warnings sent ones ignore never slowing down having to succeed strive
Money and power have strong holds as ones inner desire drive
The waters surrounded for all started feeling , drained from bad vibes
Until it was too, late all are taken no mistaken
For enough was enough to awaken
As ones became too, smart out smarted themselves as life was taken

  8. OUT OF CONTROL

    Darkness descending upon
    this valley of despair,
    we’re left wondering
    how in the world
    we got there
    and what we’ve become.
    Precarious times
    we’re in
    and holding on
    by a mere thread,
    winds of greed
    and shameful deceit
    blowing everywhere.

    Once golden successes
    now shadowy gray
    into the abyss
    incinerated,
    evaporated,
    shattered
    and forgotten dreams,
    a dull thud
    the only sound heard
    as they ignominiously fall.

    And we shed silent tears
    for what could have been,
    now a wasteland so empty
of the life that used to be
    not so very long ago
    before we seem
    to have lost our way,
    spiraling
    recklessly
    and
    relentlessly
    out of control.
