Faith In The Storm
The air is still
Not one leaf moves upon trees
standing tall
with tears from heaven falling
Upon branches reaching for a sun
that is hidden
Hidden deep behind dark clouds
Angrily thunder rumbles overhead
As it has for days
Lightening sharp yet beautiful
Streaks the darkened skies
Just over the tree line
Rain beats down on blades of grass
making them dance
Yet still I am assured by faith
That in this storm
I am safe
