Welcome to Wonderful Oriental Wednesday (WOW)! This week we’re waxing oriental with Asian beauty and culture as our theme.
Recommended style is the Haiku, a Japanese format of three lines of 5-7-5 syllables used primarily for nature topics. When used for subjects involving people the same format is called the Senryu.
Here are some pics, quotes and Haikus to inspire you!

Scotorum I understand what you meen by closer to home but when we lived in North caroliana those Cherry Blossums where Breathtaking i will look tomorrow to see if i can find a picture of them Godnight .

BYODO TEMPLE IN HAWAII..
I HAVE BEEN THERE..:)
This beautiful Buddhist temple is a replica of the 900-year-old Byodo-In located in Uji, Japan. It is located in one of the most peaceful locations in O’ahu -- the Valley of the Temples.The valley is situated against a back-drop of tall cliffs and is landscaped with traditional lush Japanese gardens and koi ponds. Inside the Byodo-In Temple is a nine-foot Lotus Buddha. Outside is a three-ton, brass Peace Bell.

when I saw them back in 2008 a family get together they was amazing to see.Como Zoo have this amazing flower garden and it’s Hugh I love going to the flower showing every year.TY! Angel and Scotorum you both are amazing friends.

What a beautiful way to begin my day. Gorgeous blog, theme and challenge! Such beautiful pieces posted. The Japanese Garden at the Huntington Library has been closed for renovation for a year and just recently reopened in celebration of its 100th year.

There is also a wonderful oriental garden in the middle of Portland Oregon. I had tea in the pagoda there years ago and it was a wonderful experience!
