Every star’s a wishing star that shines for you
Catch a star and wish away
Sometimes an April day will suddenly bring showers
Rain to grow the flowers
But April love can slip right through your fingers
So, enjoy each day as it is your last

I was eleven when this came out, still one of Pat Boone’s all time top hits. Plus he was always such a clean cut star, just kind of fell by the wayside a bit in the Sixties, maybe because he refused to wear the standard Beatle cut LOL

Didactic poetry is not a format so much as any instructional type of write. I just naturally chose my preferred four line stanza with 8 beat AABB for mine. The integral April Love theme is of course from this TAT challenge

With very few exceptions I haven’t had time to write anything new these past couple of months, but I’ll try to sneak one in when the stars are properly aligned.
In the meantime, I hope you don’t mind if I slip in an old one now and then.
For some reason, this time of year makes me think of sitting outside at a cafe.

hehhehehhe…I am back well decided my sis ta-geet me some 1.39 poison bread hehehhe man I am cheap like my lil cute crows out there I feed..yeah see.. I feed my blue jays cardinals wrens sparrows and bluinns and turtle doves and my real pretty crows then I have crucks well they love their… bread I feed them well wait I feed the lil baby raccoons and the mamma and their family and the stray kee-kee cats and the turtles giggles and my owls and the dern hawks… so I go through bunches of breads…. a day.. I love my animals… then I got my lizards… they arent my animals you do know this giggles… I am pissed over the prices… sissie so pissed… man it is a crying shame my sissie
