Young and never miss
For that kiss made a wish
On the hill side with our pride
Not knowing really the feelings inside
Too , young to know besides
As older look back with a smile big size
He and I were surprised
That kiss opened our eyes

Magic of First Kiss
The fall air filled the autumn mist
Cheers from the football game echoed
As we sneaked away from view
Stealing secret time behind the pines
We held hands and giggled at ourselves
Such excitement waiting for us
Planned first kiss with apprehension
Sitting there in the soft pine needles
Anticipation building up inside
How long I had waited for this moment
Slowly we lean towards each other
Pulling back then returning with shyness
Our lips softly met for the first time
The excitement was beyond everything I knew
With open mouths the kiss became intense
Suddenly a pain griped my tongue and lips
OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!
This long awaited first kiss was not fun
Why so much pain??
He pulled away with surprise
He wiped the blood from my lips
Then softly said
“I never thought about my braces hurting”
“That’ ok” I answered with tears
“Just how am I going to explain a bloody lip
To my mom”

I’ve used that phrase in a poem before (((Bettie))) and couldn’t resist reusing it here. It came from a bad date I once had in college where she warned against that before we went out to the drive-in LOL

The first
Is always the best
Some time the last

To young to understand

Sittin out side at night
