NEW BENGING
New birth
Spring is near
Baby birds in their nest
Flowers bloom-in
Trees with new leaves
Every thing new
Even you and me
Fresh spring waters
Runnin clear
On a sunny bright new day
blue jays flyin by
Singin a pretty song
Dont know what
He waz singin
But it sure sounded
Good to me
Strawberries picked
Fresh from the grounds
Washed cooked
And mades
The sweetest of pie
New birth
Sgring in near
All things new
A new beginin for sum
And sum makin good with the ole
Sprin is spring in all about
Makin pretty
Every where it touchiest
Bunnies bouncin their tails to the wings
Sun flowers spreedin the seed
To make new
New birth
Is poppin up all over
Better put a spring
In your sept
Cuz spring is
Poppin up
Daises
And roses
Right in front of your very eyes

BTW is that pic from this year? If so you may be ahead of us with the Spring thing. Our birds are still warming their worms on the dryer exhaust LOL

It may not have been popular in Canada AL, it got up to #4 on the Billboard pop chart in 1963. As you can tell, it did not wear well, but it was very popular for a few weeks LOL

OPON THE VERGE OF SPRING
Our hearts danced and sang
on the day you were born,
so tiny and precious,
a true miracle of birth.
And when the time came
for you to test those new wings,
we knew you could fly
and do so many wonderful things.
We all knew you were ready,
you and us as well
because you were
and so were we
as we were glad to step back
and watch you spread those wings
as you took your very first flight.
We watched as you began to fly
and as you then began to soar,
your confidence growing
with every passing day,
never looking back
as you were well
on your way.
And on this day
upon the verge of Spring
I witness life
as it begins anew,
miracles each one
whether big or small
as I’m reminded by
the tiny bird that sings
that there’s so much beauty
that I miss within the chaos
that life often becomes.
And I’m reminded
on this day just before
the arrival of Spring.
