Thanks Vic! Yes, it is a tough subject, but one that is hidden from view so much of the time

Yep, domestic abuse is a major issue and it is not confined to men. Many women are just as vile

True Streetz -- the message is not to tolerate it. We think it is love but it isn’t. It is inexcusable.

Domestic abuse very destructive and affects everyone within the family circle. Like a tsunami wave it destroys everything with it’s path. And it takes a a long time for the survivors to stop feeling it’s emotional ripple effect.

Thank you Chelo -- it does, and often the children are forgotten, how it affects them, and they carry it one -- victim or abuser into the next generation -- yes “ripple effect” is a good analogy

Excellent Martha. I have been there, and I got out with the clothes on my back and my kids and went to a shelter and got back on my feet. That was 11 years ago, it still haunts me sometimes. To all the women or men in this situation, I say GET OUT!!! They don’t change, you are in danger.

Thanks Diana! Sorry to hear that -- I was lucky enough to have friends to go to but then they let him in! They knew him as a “nice guy” ! Yeah -- so did I! You are right, get out, don’t hang about waiting for things to get worse. Some think it doesn’t harm the children but it does, that is what they learn, and we don’t want them to learn that. Yes, it it always haunts doesn’t it?

They were in therapy? The up side is that today there is more awareness of how children are affected than there used to be. It is good they got therapy, rather than be left to carry it, and then worse -- to act it all out later.
