I don’t think this is me

I like a lot of people here, but I wouldn’t want you as neighbours.

I blew up the Mrs C myspace account on a couple of occasions because it all got a little silly. I did try to get it on an even keel, but to no avail.

I sometimes write blogs about all sorts of stupid things and that is all it is. Blogging is leisure and no more important than the Badminton/Gym/cookery club etc that you join.

Myspace didn’t make me homeless…I just got bored and a little disillusioned with it…time to move on and I don’t think this place will be it. I don’t copy my blogs religiously. I don’t carry my baggage from place to place and I certainly don’t carry my grievances with me.

I can and have blogged about my children  and the Christmas plays elsewhere, but it becomes a nervous thing. Who will take the passing fixation of a 9 year old and turn it into something nasty? Accuse me of being a devil worshipper?

What I am seeing is people taking their hate from Myspace and transplanting it rather than leaving it at the door.

I shall give it a couple more days, but frankly I have no fear of starting elsewhere with nobody knowing who I am – just as I did at Myspace

  1. I noticed a bit of childish ‘exchanges’ on here just yesterday. I’ve been on the site a couple of weeks and its grown so much in that time. I have great hopes for this site and if only, those immature ppl who bicker so publicly are nipped in the bud, it will be a GREAT place I feel. Here’s hoping! Great write Mrs C.

I love straight talking people. What I dislike and find childish, is people who fight their insignificent little personal battles in public. We all have our disagreements, but to sort it out publicly is to say the least, just sooooooooo boring. Well, in my view it is.

What happens here is going to hinge, not on what baggage gets unloaded or what grudge match continues…. nor even the mushy crap big breasted ladies barf out as poetry. But on how the local powers that be handle it.
    .
Myspazz knows all too well that it’s biggest pain in the butt is the blogging community. If they have shot themselves fatally.. frankly I don’t know. But they, under the direction of the Marquis De Sade with the help of the inmates of the Bedlam asylum (thats Rupert Murdock and crew to you kiddies out there), have tried to staunch the flow of money out the door and rip out the biggest thorn they have operating wize all at once. It doesn’t look good.

The admin here is the most responsive I have seen. WordPress is well established. The bandwidth here it taking the increasing load in stride..so far. Lets see if the Admin can keep the wolves from the door.. stem the tide and stop me from saying trite shit all day long… Then my dear we shall know whats up.

  3. Well…I haven’t had much time to read much on here, but I’m sure it was no surprise to you or anyone else for that matter that the drama would carry forward….I haven’t actually read anything as of yet that is drama in nature ,,but I do believe you are talking about the next level of the shit…but whatever..it is what is

“What I am seeing is people taking their hate from Myspace and transplanting it rather than leaving it at the door.”— is this not another space do continue as we were evicted from the last space? Have we learned anything?? I don’t know the answer to this.. but I sure hope so….I know I have, regardless of who thinks or believes otherwise.

I don’t know for sure if this is “the Place” ..but for sure..we all seem to follow the next hopeful…for better or worse..we are a group of people looking for a good home to sit back and feel comfy with.

Sorry my screen name is still my spades name on Silver Creek…I can’t seem to change it..

  4. Well ya know, gotta do what you gotta do. I think if you’re looking for a true fresh start, you’re likely right in your assessment as I think what’s going to happen is we’re going to re-create myspace over here to some extent; I’m ok with that. I wasn’t bothered by any of the drama or whatever--just everyone was (and is) leaving because they stuck us with a new format that no one likes.

  5. Drama has it’s place in the blogging community, it’s like trashy tabloids and celeb gossip for the normal people who don’t live their lives online. That said sometimes it can be too much and if people end up on here bitching about people who aren’t even on this site then it won’t last long. You need interaction from your enemies for real drama to work properly. Hopefully the people we all know and hate will stay off here for a while.

It’s not so much the drama, but the people on the sidelines… if the srs bns folks just ignore it and let the drama bloggers go… the world keeps spinning… but when drama starts… exactly how many blogs denouncing the drama do we need? Srsly??
Because when the srsy bns crowd all have to post blogs about it… it starts to seem that all there is, is drama…

In others words, if you don’t like drama, don’t read / kudo / comment the blogs, don;t post blogs about it…

  6. We plan to ‘set’ some ground rules really fast here. I have no problem with controversy, spirited exchanges and strong language from time to time. I believe in Freedom of Speech. However, as when it gets personal and there are personal attacks, hate, and bullying I draw the line. If people wish to do that they can head back to some of the other blogging platform. Send me recommendations how you want to handle this. Authors should be able to delete comments posted on their blogs unless we broke something in upgrading part of the blogging platform…. I plan on posting something a bulletin real soon here and action will start to be taken in limiting peoples ability to post.

That will be a great step. There were some crazy people on Myspace who, every time they got mad would dig up personal information on people and post it everywhere. Google pictures of their houses, photoshopped pictures of people and/or their kids in pornographic positions, spreading lies about people having std’s, being pedophiles, and a whole lot worse.

It’s beneficial to air out grievances and occasionally spar with people when you have issues to resolve, but if there is nothing to resolve and it’s only gonna get personal and ugly, then it should be stopped.

I’ve found that many people who ‘complain’ about the drama always seem to be lurking on the drama blogs. They insist they don’t ‘like’ it, but privately sit back with their popcorn. Show me a blogging site that doesn’t contain drama. And trolls? You will never have enough bug spray to get rid of them. Personally, I adore trolls, the funny ones that put the comedy into it. You can’t hide from it, unless you WANT to and have the privacy features to do that. But you give half the complainers their wall of privacy and I assure you they will be peeking around it to see whats going on. They either get spotted and called out on it, or they insert their opinions and become involved in it. For those people, I suggest they have fake profiles. One for serious stuff where they lock down tight and stay in their spaces, the other for fun (not evil).

I like to write nice stories about my family and my life too, I don’t do it though because I put myself in the drama, not by really attributing to it, but by my own little *snicker* remarks from time to time. Which in turn, makes me a target if . I would just like to be able to shut my curtains from time to time with some privacy issues, mainly because I just don’t like people seeing every move I make, no body needs to see me picking my nose, ya know?

It has been rumoured that former MySpace administrators had special keyboards with a blinking red (or was it pink?) “F0″ button located between the “Esc” and the “F1″ buttons. This button was especially reserved as a sort of “panic button” for certain blog denizens who had their accounts deleted in regular intervals. For more technical details, I suggest you ask your friend Tom(.)Com.
