It is my honor to share this message with you!

I received an email from Patty Stanton, a volunteer with Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, based in San Francisco.
They rescue older dogs who otherwise might not have a chance of making it out of the shelters in California.
Muttville reached a milestone this month, with the 3000th rescued senior dog!!

Here is a picture of Pops, a terrier mix they just took in, out of an L.A. County shelter, he was on his last days, surrendered by his previous owners.
Here he sits in the cockpit on the co-pilot’s lap with a very special gaze, as he looks out of the plane, towards his future.

This Pilots N Paws volunteer pilot touched down at Palo Alto Airport and this sweet photo is getting a lot of attention.
Normally, rescue dogs fly in dog crates, but Pilot Gordon’s co-pilot and wife, Caryl, had Pops on her lap for this special flight to rescue.
Check out the post on Muttville’s Facebook page:

Here’s Pop’s profile, as he is now waiting at Muttville headquarters: http://www.muttville.org/mutt/pops-3030

The co-pilot, Caryl, held him the whole way…
