My objectives here are two-fold. First, I want to demonstrate evidence and materials that respond to the traditional claims and interpretations of the Fundamentalist Christian community. Unfortunately, many of the claims made by that community are based in error, reports from sources that lack credibility or credentials that qualify them to speak on the issue. The Fundamentalist argument is based on seven verses in the Scripture that purport to teach homosexuality is a sin and that Gay people are hated by God. The contention of the Gay Christian community is that these verses, as read in English translations, do not capture the original intent of the passages nor meaning of the Hebrew and Greek. I have presented the findings of scholarship on the subject and invite those who disagree with us to respond to the evidence. Note: Simply quoting Scriptures and comments about how evil and perverse and how i am going to Hell, does not add to the conversation and will get you blocked.


I have many people that are quick to call me a false teacher, but I would like to challenge them to respond to the series of blogs that address the passages in the Bible about being gay. I invited public or private comments to me to dialogue about the topic. This will change as i develop them.

Third, this is my outlet to connect with the gay community, so if i appear to be too casual about the male body, well, all i can say is that, I do not share the fundamentalist attitude of embarrassment about the human body which God has created. Expressing appreciation about attractive people is not "lust." Lust occurs, Biblically, when one obsesses over an object and dwells upon it in an unhealthy way. So, you can check your judgmental attitude at the door.
